Korean American clarinetist Keeheon Nam has captivated audiences from dive bars to Carnegie Hall. He is Principal Clarinet of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and has appeared with the Nashville Symphony and St. Paul Chamber Orchestras.
He is a prize winner of the 2022 International Clarinet Association Young Artist Competition and the 2017 Tennessee Music Teachers Association’s Competition. Keeheon is the founding clarinetist of Kodan Quintet and has received prizes from the Coltman, MTNA, and New Orleans ChamberFest competitions. Committed to presenting today’s music, he has commissioned many works from composers such as Nicky Sohn, Michael Slayton, Jordyn Gallinek, and SiHyun Uhm.
Keeheon is a passionate teacher and is the Instructor of Clarinet at West Virginia University and is an Instructor of Clarinet at Interlochen Arts Camp. He is a graduate of the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, The Juilliard School, and the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University.
