Josh Catanzaro

Joshua Catanzaro, hailing from Peru, Indiana, is a sought-after collaborative musician in a wide variety of styles as pianist, vocal coach, and conductor. He has served as coach and rehearsal pianist for IU Opera Theatre’s productions of Die Fledermaus and Carmen, in addition to the workshop premiere of In the Rush in collaboration with the Metropolitan Opera. This July, he will be making his international debut as coach/rehearsal pianist for Gianni Schicchi for the Trentino Music Festival in Italy. Joshua has worked with world-class singers Russell Thomas and Tichina Vaughn in addition to many up-and-coming young artists. He fervently supports contemporary music as a conductor, including leading the opera All of Us for the 2024 Indiana New Works Project, and as a pianist for vocal and instrumental works. He is currently a master’s student in the Collaborative Piano Program at the IU Jacobs School of Music, studying with Kevin Murphy.
