Catherine McMichael

Catherine McMichael is a pianist, composer, arranger, performer, teacher, coach, and founder of Camellia Music. She holds degrees in piano performance and chamber music from the University of Michigan. Based in Saginaw, Michigan, Catherine performs with the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, River Raisin Ragtime Revue, and the Bijou Theatre Orchestra, among other groups. She is also the accompanist for the Saginaw Choral Society and director of Bells on High at First United Methodist Church of Saginaw.

Her compositions, spanning neo-romantic symphonic works to eclectic mixed ensembles, are represented by six publishers and performed worldwide. Five of her works for flute have won the Best Newly Published Music award from the National Flute Association. A prolific arranger, her music is featured by various ensembles, soloists, and professional artists. She maintains a private piano studio and teaches at seminars across the country.
