Amy Collins

Amy Collins is a versatile performer and educator based in the Tampa Bay area. She serves on the faculty at the University of South Florida, where she hosted the 2019 International Double Reed Society Conference, and teaches each summer at The
Governor’s School for the Arts in Tennessee. She is the principal oboist of The Venice Symphony and The Villages Philharmonic.

She has performed with the New York City Opera, Miami City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Moiseyev Ballet, Mannheim Steamroller, Cirque du Soleil, and artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Josh Groban, Lindsey Stirling,
and Evanescence.

In 2007, Collins was honored to perform for Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican, becoming the first instrumentalist to play in St. Peter’s Basilica since Pope John Paul I. She is also president of The Stellar Corporation, Inc. (dba Stellar Oboe Products), which specializes in oboe reeds and innovative products, including the Stellar oboe/English horn stand. The company celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023.
