Turkish-American composer and violinist Ali Can Puskulcu has been recognized with a Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the ASCAP/SEAMUS Commission, the Fromm Foundation Commission from Harvard University, and a Copland House Residency Award. His debut album, Gibberish Shreds, was released by New Focus Recordings, with selections performed at the MATA Festival in New York City. His chamber work Wired was premiered by wild Up at the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Noon to Midnight series at Walt Disney Concert Hall. He has received the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award and performed his solo violin piece Point G at Lincoln Center. He was a Second Prize Winner of the American Protégé Strings and Piano Competition, making his Carnegie Hall debut in 2013. Puskulcu holds a Master of Music in composition from the University of Southern California and currently teaches at Harvard and Brandeis Universities.
