Algimantas Staskevicius is a member of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Doppler String Quartet, and serves as Associate Concertmaster of the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from the M.K. Čiurlionis School of Fine Arts and earned a Master’s in Music from the Lithuanian State Conservatory, as well as an M.M. degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Mr. Staskevicius has held orchestral positions including Principal Second Violin with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la UANL in Monterrey, Mexico, Assistant Principal Second Violin with the Baton Rouge Symphony, and Concertmaster of Mississippi Opera. He has also served as a visiting professor of violin and viola for both undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. In 2001, he joined the Missouri Symphony Society.
