Iridescent: J.S. Bach Keyboard Partitas Arranged for Double Reeds

This arrangement of J.S. Bach’s Partita No. 4 is one of three adapted by Dr. Lydia Consilvio for two oboes, English horn, and bassoon. By redistributing the original keyboard lines among four distinct wind voices, the arrangement highlights the clarity of Bach’s counterpoint and transforms the work into a vivid, conversational exchange. The unique timbral palette of the double reeds offers new expressive possibilities while honoring the Baroque character of the original.
