Please note that all information is tentative at this point and subject to change. It is provided here as a guide to help in your early planning.
- On-site conference registration and check-in will be available at the following times:
- Monday June 9: 6-9 pm
- Tuesday June 10 – Saturday June 14: 8:30 am – 5 pm
- Check-in/check-out for on-campus housing will be available at the following times:
- Monday June 9: 6-10 pm (check-in only)
- Tuesday June 10 – Saturday June 14: 8 am – 10 pm
- Sunday June 14: 5-11 am (check out only)
- Performances and presentations will begin at 1pm on Tuesday, June 10, and will end with a gala concert on the evening of Saturday, June 14.
- Most conference events will take place between 9am and 5pm; evening concerts will begin at 7pm.
- The exhibits will be open from 10am to 5pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 10am-1pm on Saturday. Exhibits will be closed during the IDRS General Meeting which is scheduled for 1-2pm on Wednesday, June 11. Note that exhibits will not be open on Tuesday.
- The evening gala concerts on Tuesday, June 10 and Saturday, June 14 will feature concerto soloists with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, conducted by music director Matthew Kraemer. The evening concerts on Wednesday, June 11 and Thursday June 12 will feature solo and chamber works.
- There will be a very special two-part evening event on Friday, June 13. The evening will begin with a 7:00pm concert by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra led by music director Jun Märkl. The program will feature the world premiere of a new concerto for oboe and bassoon by composer Hanna Benn with ISO principals Jennifer Christen, oboe, and Ivy Ringel, bassoon. The program also includes double reed favorites Ravel’s Alborada del Gracioso and Berlioz’ Symphonie Fantastique. The concert will be followed by a reception for IDRS members at the Hilbert Circle Theatre, home of the ISO. (There will be an extra charge to attend this concert and reception; it is not included in the regular conference registration. You must purchase your ticket via the conference registration form to attend the reception.)
- The conference will also include the many events and activities that IDRS members have come to love over the years: The Fernand Gillet – Hugo Fox International Competition for oboe and the Norma Hooks Young Artist International Competition for bassoon, the IDRS Baroque Band, Reading Groups, Contraband, and more!
