Ednaldo Alves is a highly accomplished musician from Brazil. He earned Bachelor’s degrees in Clarinet Performance and Music Education from the Federal University of Paraíba, studying with Carlos Rieiro and Arimatéia Verissimo. Ednaldo then obtained his Artist Certificate and MM from Azusa Pacific University, studying under Michele Zukovsky. In 2024, he obtained a Performance Certificate at La Sierra with the guidance of Dr. William Wellwood.
Ednaldo has received numerous accolades for his outstanding performances in competitions held in Brazil, Europe, and in the US. Recently, he was a finalist in the esteemed 2023 Hennings-Fischer Young Artists Competition and a winner of the 2023 La Sierra University All-Stars Concerto Competition. Ednaldo has also held various positions in local orchestras and wind ensembles and has showcased his versatility and skill as a soloist. Recently, he achieved the second-place position in the audition for the second clarinet chair with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra.
