Ravi Shankar Domingues, oboe and chamber music professor at the Federal University of Paraíba, began his musical training at the Escola de Música de Brasília and graduated from the University of Brasília. He earned a Künstlerische Ausbildung from the Rostock University of Music in Germany and a Master’s in Performance from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He has performed with orchestras in Brazil, Germany, Canada, and Mexico, including the Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin, Minas Gerais Philharmonic, Montreal Symphony, and Xalapa Symphony. Internationally, he toured Latin America with the Youth Orchestra of the Americas under Gustavo Dudamel. Domingues is a board member of the International Double Reed Society, CIRMMT, OICRM, and CEGeME at UFMG. Founder of the Brazilian Network for Artists’ Health, he integrates research, teaching, and instrumental practice, emphasizing the health and well-being of artists.
