The Tres Palos Ensemble has quickly become one of Colombia’s most important chamber music groups. Founded in 2009, the ensemble has won numerous competitions including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá’s prestigious chamber music competition, as well as the Luis Ángel Arango Library competition. The ensemble regularly performs in Colombia’s most important concert halls. In 2021 the ensemble was the winner of the Bogotá chamber music groups award. In 2019 Tres Palos was invited to “Los Cabos” International Chamber Music Festival in Mexico. The group is always exploring new sounds and possibilities for the ensemble, and is particularly passionate about bringing Colombian and Latin American music to a wider audience. When not engaged as a trio, the members of the Tres Palos Ensemble can be heard performing with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, National Symphonic Band of Colombia and Nueva Filarmonía Orchestra. The members of the ensemble are also University professors.
